Data Analyst (m/f/d) - FlixTrain

We're looking for a motivated and driven Data Analyst (m/f/d) for FlixTrain who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

• You will help FlixTrain’s management team make more data-driven decisions
• You will be responsible for defining KPIs for various FlixTrain departments (focus: operations / production) and helping us critically assess the reasons behind our business performance through data analytics
• As part of this, you are responsible for creating dashboards and reports in Power BI for FlixTrain’s departments
• You will collaborate closely with different FlixTrain teams to understand their business problems and derive relevant data solutions to fit their needs
• You will help us build scalable data models & transformations
• You will collaborate with teams at Flix SE, such as the Operational Intelligence and Business Intelligence team, on our data models & transformations, as well as ensure FlixTrain specific data is available in our data warehouse

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

• A degree from a top university in business, economics, statistics, or data science coupled with knowledge of and experience in statistics and data analysis. Alternatively, a degree in engineering and computer science from a top university coupled with an interest in solving business problems using data analysis
• 1-3 years of experience working in fast-paced and data-driven organizations
• Advanced Excel skills, and first experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as PowerBI (experience with Snowflake is a plus)
• Attention to detail, knowledge of best practices for checking and implementing data quality
• Excellent analytical and critical thinkings skills
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, including the skill to communicate complex problems in simple terms
• An interest and ideally a passion for the transportation sector or for operational business problems
• Self-motivated and reliable
• Team player with a problem-solving attitude
• Proficiency in English
• At least a basic knowledge of German

Optional:

• Experience with at least one advanced programming language (ideally Python or alternatively R)
• Experience with data modelling, pipelines and basic data engineering
