As the Data Lead for our Belux Human Health Commercial organization, you will lead and grow a talented team of more than 5 data experts. The purpose of your team is to generate, analyze, model, and visualize data to enable data-informed decision making, and to promote a data driven culture by understanding our organization’s data needs, and delivering relevant actionable insights.

Your team is working in the following areas: Analytics, Dashboarding, Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Quality & Governance, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and SFE (Sales Force Effectiveness). There is both operational support, as well as strategic project-based work.

Key Result Areas & Tasks

  • Work on the data strategy and vision for Belux Human Health Commercial organization

  • Collaborate closely with the 3 business units (Oncology, Vaccines and Hospital Acute Care) to understand their challenges, collect their needs, and ensure continuous alignment.

  • Manage data projects portfolio by prioritizing data projects requests, ensuring proper planning and communication with stakeholders.

  • Coach the data team in understanding the data strategy, and in delivering prioritized projects and operational demands.

  • Drive implementation of innovative solutions with the team and be ready to deliver challenging projects yourself.

  • Guide, coach and inspire a team of professionals. Act as a primary point of contact for them.

  • Develop people and help them grow within the organization.

  • Collaborate with Global and Regional teams to exchange best practices and source new projects

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong foundations in data with previous experience operating as an individual contributor with data skills.

  • Experience working with and leading cross functional teams.

  • Experience partnering with commercial and digital teams.

  • At least 3 years of direct line management experience - leading and coaching data teams of 4+ people.

  • Nice to have: Pharma and/or biotech industry experience, ideally with a focus on data.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects of various complexity in areas of responsibility.

  • Ability to navigate complexity and to synthesize different points of view to reach consensus.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to manage expectations from stakeholders from different functional areas, seniority levels and geographical areas.
