JOB DECSRIPTION: Working with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the full data life-cycle, bringing an expert focus on database relationships/aggregation, analysis and reporting. You will blend advanced data collation capabilities and a variety of analytical/scientific approaches to translate complex business issues into actionable insight.

 

Skills : The successful Data Analyst needs to possess a combination of analytical and interpersonal skills. Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications. Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications.

  • Assembles large, complex sets of data and creates data set processes for verification, acquisition, mining and modeling.
  • Works with stakeholders to translate business requirements into database standards and monitor and optimize data quality.
  • Develop and maintain complex scripts/programs to support data computation, loading and integration
  • Ability to automate and streamline data reporting; building prototype models and dashboards.
  • Strong technical (statistical) capabilities. Must have a broad experience of using analytical concepts and statistical techniques (including hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing statistically defensible conclusions).
  • Experience with manipulation of raw data into insight.
  • Functional competency (e.g. Python, R, SQL or others, as appropriate).
  • Experience with enterprise Business Intelligence tool/s (Qlik Sense and Tableau are preferred).
  • Intellectually curious with both an analytical and holistic view of solutions.
  • High levels of accountability and personal judgment given the confidential nature of the data being used.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 3+ yrs of experience using Qlik tools
  • Relevant degree in the field of research and quantitative methods (e.g. statistics, organizational behavior, data science, economics, math).
  • Exposure to research design, visualization techniques and analysis. Exposure to advanced statistical methods (e.g. hypothesis testing, machine learning predictions and text mining) a plus.
  • Ability to summarize findings effectively and high communication and collaboration skills
