About the team + role

Insights from data power most decisions at Robinhood. In a Data Scientist-Analytics role focused on Performance Marketing at Robinhood, you will work with partners in marketing, product, engineering, finance, design, and compliance to understand and analyze data from all parts of our business to drive our Performance Marketing strategy.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and share insights around our active customers, focusing on acquisition and retargeting strategies.
  • Analyze and test performance marketing strategies, improving our campaign efficiency, and enhancing our measurement capabilities across various channels.
  • Design and implement experiments (A/B tests, incrementality tests, and geo-lift tests) to systematically test and measure the impact of various performance marketing initiatives, ensuring statistical significance and actionable outcomes.
  • Work with partners to identify the metrics their product should track and develop and share analysis, guidance, reports, and dashboards to optimally track and move these metrics.
  • Utilize advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling to drive performance marketing strategies and improve ROI.
  • Develop and refine attribution models to accurately measure the incremental impact of different marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Power quick decisions by answering business questions by querying our vast datasets.

What you bring

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with experience in performance marketing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis with a focus on marketing analytics.
  • Deep understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) in marketing such as click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate (CVR), return on ad spend (ROAS), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV).
  • Expertise in attribution models to determine the effectiveness of different marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads).
  • Strong skills in designing and analyzing A/B tests and multivariate tests to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Experience with other incrementality tests such as geo-lift experiments, holdout tests, and synthetic control methods.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline creation and maintenance.
  • Skills in working with ETL tools and ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Excellent programming skills, including proficiency in either Python (numpy, scipy, pandas) or R programming languages.
  • Expert-level SQL skills.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Experience communicating data-driven insights.
  • The ability to use data to advise, persuade, and lead.
