Business Intelligence Engineer Specialist

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze metrics, insights, and storytelling;
• Assess business needs and objectives;
• Interpret trends and patterns;
• Conduct complex data analyses and report results;
• Combine raw information from different sources;
• Explore ways to improve data quality and reliability;
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of available data and the alerting process;
• Identify opportunities for process and query adjustments;
• Focus on examining the data a company stores and studying how it affects business operations and profitability;
• Identify data pain points (data gaps or frequency issues) and follow up on the resolution of such issues with the appropriate team;
• Help the company adopt data modeling standards and concepts.

Requirements

• Experience in data management and analysis;
• Experience with financial metrics;
• Experience in the financial area and its subsectors (accounts payable, accounting, etc.);
• Advanced knowledge of SQL;
• Best practices in Data Warehouse and/or Data Vault;
• Preferably, experience with AWS Redshift or another columnar database;
• Experience in data governance;
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field; a Master's degree is a plus;
• Advanced proficiency in English or Spanish is a plus;
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Demonstrates autonomy and proactivity in professional settings;
• Commitment to responsibility and delivering high-quality work;
• Knowledge of Qlik Sense (optional).
