About the role:

We're looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead our data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud data warehouses, API integrations, and data architecture. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure, including cloud data warehouses and data pipelines
• Develop and integrate APIs to connect multiple platforms and data sources
• Create and execute high-level architecture plans for our BI tools and backend data stack
• Engage in project scoping and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
• Mentor and lead junior team members, fostering their growth and development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in data engineering or related field
• Strong expertise in cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery)
• Proficiency in working with APIs and integrating multiple platforms
• Experience in designing and implementing data architectures and ETL processes
• Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala
• Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization platforms
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to scope, design, and execute complex data projects
• Experience mentoring junior team members

Good to have

• Knowledge of or experience with the Salesforce ecosystem
• Background in data science or machine learning
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies
• Certifications in relevant cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or data technologies
