Workday/Prism Data Architect

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.​

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

• Develops Workday and Prism reporting databases, data marts, and Measure Library to support data collection and data mining necessary for analytics and reporting.
• Develops data collection user interface applications to support Request Management, Reporting, and Improvement Project needs.
• Develops data modeling and is responsible for data acquisition, access analysis, archive, recovery, load design and implementation
• Coordinates new data developments to ensure consistency with existing warehouse structure.
• Collaborates with internal customers to capture requirements, design, create, document, manage and fulfill requests for on-going and/or ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
• Leads the development, implementation and maintenance of front-end presentation (dashboards), automated report solutions and other BI solutions to support tactical and strategic reporting needs of the organization.
• Self manages projects, tasks and timelines ensuring that approvals from leadership are obtained.
• Accountable for code quality, including writing unit and integration tests
• Performing code reviews to suggest, encourage, and support coding best practices
• Leading technical projects through architecture, design, and implementation phases
• Working collaboratively with a distributed team

Your experience should include...

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in a computer science, engineering or related discipline
• 10 years of industry experience in a software engineering role and building large scale data solutions
• Experience designed automated reporting systems
• Strong experience in database systems (MSSQL, Oracle, Teradata, etc..)
• Strong Experience with Visualization tools (Tableau, Microstrategy,etc..)
• Strong experience in Workday building reports and dashboards
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, software designs, micro services, and cloud computing
• Extensive experience building software using Agile concepts and processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, where you work interactively in a small team
• Experience Solving end-to-end problems across the service stack
• Be well-versed in ETL design, implementation and maintenance

• Experience with Cloud Systems (Amazon AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong understanding of software security best practices
• Passion to develop elegant and cutting-edge solutions for real-world business problems
• Experience with SQL and non-SQL databases
• Strong understanding of software security best practices
• Experience with data analytics and machine-learning experience is a plus
