This role would be ideal for an experienced Systems or Software Engineer with an extensive background in AWS and programming skills. The role is joining a team that focuses on orchestrating services and APIs to develop HR solutions and experiences through AWS. You will work with a team of API Developers, Data Engineers and AWS Engineers to create unique experiences and logic patterns that help orchestrate and deliver solutions.

You will initially work on an AI project through mapping and developing logic and routing solutions from Chat Bot prompts and queries to handle traffic and step functions between basic API calls vs handling and delivering RAG queries to multiple LLM endpoints and handling prompt engineering guardrails.

You will also work on the HR API Gateway initiative in creating and handling application and business logic via Lambda and/or Step Functions within our AWS environments to ensure that API’s are decoupled from applications and service the enterprise appropriately.

The HR Technology function works in an Agile methodology with our HR business to plan, prioritise and deliver on high value HR & technology objectives with key results that can be experienced by all of our employees.

You will be empowered and able to work autonomously in designing, developing and continuously improving cloud orchestrations and event handling across the HR domain in partnership with the Cloud Engineering Chapter resources where this role sits.

Technical Skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• Applied understanding of AWS.

• Experience in developing Lambda orchestrations (Python, .NET)

• Experience in developing Step Functions

• Experience with Management and Governance on AWS

• AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail and AWS CloudWatch

• Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)

• Cloud security and risk governance

• Experience with distributed version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab)
