About this opportunity:

The Lloydminster Business Technology team has an exciting opportunity available for an SAP Plant Maintenance Data Analyst. Supporting the Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil business, the SAP Master Data Team is responsible for the accurate digital representation of Cenovus's facility, well and equipment data in a Maintenance Management System (SAP).

This position requires a technically specialized individual who has extensive experience with data improvement, data management, data governance, and data administration of Maintenance Management Systems. The candidate must have proven problem solving and decision making skills and strong project facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders to achieve success.

Work Environment:

  • This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area.

What you’ll do:

  • Apply extensive knowledge and specialization in data management methodologies to ensure outstanding data quality and investigate and implement new technology to optimize data management activities

  • Ensure that data is accurately managed and follows organizational policies and industry regulations; recommend data management objectives, standards, procedures, and work practices.

  • Ensure the SAP data values are aligned with Corporate Data standards for integration with other systems and data sources, such as Salesforce, Capstone and Energy Components

  • Evaluate the risk of SAP configuration or customizations to asset data management, workflows, inter-module functionality and technical debt

  • Evaluate and advise on system usability improvements and find opportunities for efficiency

  • Work with business partners to find opportunities for process improvement, and design and implement solutions to optimize business processes; provide guidance to evaluate and implement work methods and procedures within an overall data management program.

  • Lead project teams with internal/external partners with diverse experience to resolve technical problems. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and timeline, and handle resources and budget to ensure project success

  • Coach, train, and support professional and technical growth of SAP users on the systems and processes. Respond to user inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into business metrics related to data management. Analyze data from various sources to aid with business decisions

Who you are:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Business / Technical Diploma and / or equivalent training is an asset

  • Minimum 8 years of experience with SAP PM with specialized technical and functional knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP S/4 Plant Maintenance, SAP HR, FI, MM, BW

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with project management

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with database query, such as SQL

  • Oil and gas equipment knowledge is an asset
