We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office on Tuesday and Wednesday and work remotely the remainder of the week!
As the expert on Data & Product Analysis, you will be responsible for setting and delivering the highest standard of analysis and insights across our entire organization while developing your team of data & product analysts to do the same.

So, what will you do?

  • Evaluate and monitor the health of our product and member ecosystem daily
  • Validate the impact of our product initiatives and changes on our members; serve as an internal consultant to product and engineering teams on designing and implementing experiments to effectively identify the impact of new features, enhancements etc
  • Collaborate with product managers across platforms (apps and core web), designers, and development teams to design, benchmark and measure experiments that drive key product decisions
  • Drive data exploration on user behaviour to discover potential product enhancements driving higher user retention, engagement and satisfaction
  • Leverage data from a disparate set of sources to analyze business performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable insights to executive management
  • Partner with marketing, finance and operations teams to develop advanced analytics models to quantify and measure the impact of key enterprise initiatives on the top-line and bottom-line growth
  • Conduct research providing an objective lens into evolving consumer needs, behaviour and social norms that can serve as the basis for a longer-term strategic product roadmap
  • Proactively identify product metrics and monitor product performance through dashboards and ad hoc analysis
  • Serve as the analytics point of contact and function lead for the POF Executive team

You'll be a match for this role if you have..

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience leading exploratory analysis and driving insights for a social and/or marketplace product autonomously
  • 5+ years of experience in experimentation and testing
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with structured and unstructured data sources
  • 2+ years directly managing or mentoring other analysts
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of freemium monetization and business models
  • The ability to drive hypotheses and action in a highly volatile and ambiguous environment
