Senior E-Commerce Business Analyst

As a Senior E-Commerce Business Analyst in the E-commerce Category & 4P Analytics Team, you'll tackle the most pressing and intriguing e-commerce challenges, contributing to shaping HP’s e-commerce future. Our dynamic, highly skilled, and diverse global team is dedicated to data-driven problem-solving. In this role, you'll combine your analytical prowess, economic/business acumen, stakeholder engagement, and project management expertise to innovate HP’s product pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Main point of contact for category/business stakeholders.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful insights using analytics and visualization tools.
  • Analyze business trends to address key questions and needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine business strategies.
  • Foster relationships with business partners to drive data-driven innovation.
  • Act as a liaison between category teams, data engineering, data science teams, and external developers.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Propose and structure project expansions to capitalize on identified opportunities.
  • Communicate business value through effective insights and visualizations.
  • Develop frameworks and processes for replicable, scalable, and automated analyses.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in pricing data, managing databases, dashboards, and reports.

Requirements:

  • Strong Business, Finance, Economics acumen.
  • Master’s degree or above degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • 7+ years of experience in business/data analysis, preferably in e-commerce B2C.
  • Creative thinker with original business solution ideas.
  • Effective communication, storytelling, visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Project management skills, including planning, milestone setting, and progress tracking.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, or others).

Bonus Points:

  • Industry sector experience related to the position (e.g., retail, e-commerce, manufacturing) is advantageous.
  • Experience with data science/statistical modeling techniques.
  • Project management certifications: PMI, Agile.
  • Knowledge of Databricks.
  • Experience with Git.
