Data Visualisation Developer

We’re looking for a Data Visualisation Developer to join us in Bradford.

This is hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.

As part of the continued growth and diversification of Liberty Shared Services (LSS), which acts as a centre of excellence with specialisms in Finance, Accounting, People and Legal, we are looking to hire the role of Data Visualisation Developer, to support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) activity across various OpCo brands, such as Virgin Media O2 and Atlas Edge.

As an ambitious, dynamic and experienced Data Visualisation Developer, you will fully utilise your experience in GCP, Python and dbt to develop and maintain scalable Looker dashboards and reports, that integrate with various data sources. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and various stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions and enhance our data capabilities.

What will you be doing?

• You will leverage your expertise in data visualisation to design and implement data models, create and manage LookML projects, where your experience with GCP will be crucial in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure.

• Fully utilising your skills in Python and dbt, you will build robust data transformation workflows, develop and maintain Looker dashboards and reports, and design and implement efficient and scalable data models.

• You will integrate Looker with various data sources and ensure the consistency, quality and reliability of data across all reports and dashboards, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pipelines and implementations.

• Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization, you will implement new ways of working across your areas of responsibility.

We tend to look for people with:

• Proven experience as a Data Visualisation Developer, Data Visualisation Engineer, BI Developer, or similar.

• Strong proficiency in Looker and LookML, although PowerBI and Tableau specialists with the appetite to learn Looker and LookML will also be considered.

• A solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services.

• Proficient in Python for data manipulation and scripting.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
