We offer short- and long-term market coverage for more than 200 core building-block chemicals with a full suite of advisory services and top-tier events held around the globe. The worldwide chemical industry looks to Chemical Market Analytics to guide decisions and help manage risk across the entire value chain. 

About the Role:

As Principal Research Analyst, you will be responsible for petrochemical feedstocks research (specifically, natural gas liquids & naphtha). You will have a key role in supporting the Head of NGL & Naphtha. You will report directly to the Vice President of Energy Markets within CMA.

You Will:
  • Establish and maintain a reputation internally and externally for NGL and naphtha market expertise
  • Support existing services via primary research and analytical studies, including end-use demand modeling, supply/demand balancing, trade flows, pricing, general market dynamics, individual company analysis, and econometric modeling
  • Lead the preparation of models, data sets, and analytics for activities covering natural gas liquids (NGLs) and naphtha
  • Support preparation of content to communicate NGL & naphtha insights to oil companies, petrochemical producers, and downstream consumers
  • Provide neutral and objectively written content within Market Advisory Service content including weekly and monthly reports, special topic papers, and strategic analyses on a consistent basis
  • Contribute to feedstock price forecasting process and communicate the forecast’s key messages internally and externally 
  • Lead the design and preparation of content delivery tools that enhance client experience
  • Support preparation of content, analytical tools, and processes
  • Serve as the main contact for systems development for upcoming services
  • Ensure consistent global market coverage and analysis

You Have:
  • 7+ years’ of relevant experience which includes  market intelligence and/or consulting research
  • Knowledge of the energy value chain and the related market dynamics
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, databases, process documentation applications, and business intelligence applications
  • Experience with or knowledge of data visualization applications, data analysis, and data modeling
  • Experience modeling refinery unit operations (preferred) 
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Chemistry (preferred) Business, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems Management, Data Science or relevant discipline
