Senior Data Analyst (Azure)

What we’re looking for:

Silicon Labs is seeking a highly motivated Senior Azure Data Analyst to support the development and administration of critical processes within the Azure data platform. This role will focus on clearly acquiring and refining business requirements and ensuring quality delivery. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and a strong drive to understand the complex business processes supported in our Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. You will work in collaboration with developers, business owners, and other technology teams. You will perform analysis to identify opportunities for enhancing the overall performance and scalability of the solution.     

What you will do:

•           Utilize cutting-edge cloud technologies to architect data solutions for Silicon Labs

•           Build and implement ETL dataflows, optimizing data models and databases

•           Collaborate with the business community to prioritize information and visualization needs

•           You will have opportunities to apply data science techniques, such as machine learning, statistical modeling for data discovery, and predictive analytics               

Skills you’ll need:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering data warehousing and data integration solutions in the Azure Cloud and Azure SQL Database environments
• Experience using Tableau as a data visualization and reporting tool
• Advanced SQL coding skills (T-SQL) including building stored procedures
• Proven experience with CI/CD processes within a cloud data warehouse environment
• Experience working in Azure DevOps and Agile project management environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently research and resolve identified data or processing issues
• Proven ability to lead effective requirements gathering and refinement sessions
• Proven ability to proactively interpret, clarify, and refine business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, business use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Proven ability to write clearly defined stories for the development teams
• Proven ability to properly test and validate delivered solutions against the original requirements
• Experience running User Acceptance Testing programs

Education and/or Experience:

• BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• Experience with databases (Azure SQL preferred, MS SQL server), scripting (Python, R)
• Knowledge or experience with Visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
• Knowledge or experience with ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS)

Qualifications Considered a Plus 

• Experience working at a semiconductor company
