Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

As a D&A Squad Lead in Corporate Functions Domain, you will drive critical project(s) in Corp functions space such as HR , Finance and Procurement etc. You will take the end-to-end responsibility of the delivery of the project that includes but not limited to technical aspects starting from requirement assessment, data analysis, effort estimation & sizing and planning ,solution design, development, deployment, and support . You will be also responsible for stakeholder communication and managing the stakeholders in that squad. You independently drive the project and own the project plan starting from creating the plan, sharing cost details ,  stakeholder comms and managing the resources working in that squad. You will lead a team of Data Engg , BA, Qlik developer , Project manager etc.

You bring techno functional expertise and knowledge either in Finance or HR space. You will be reporting Global Lead for Data Analytics Corporate Functions.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the technical deliveries for D&A Corporate functions squad and hands-on contribution will be required.
  • Technical Expert on AWS cloud platform and technologies and understand Data engineering to BI reporting.
  • Innovative thinker and brings right solution and design with GenAI and AI/ML capabilities.
  • Work and manage the stakeholders to understand the Data quality gaps, bring the Data architecture and Solution capabilities from Data integration to Visualization.
  • You will be managing one squad with a team of Data Engg(s), Business Analysts , Qlik Developers
  • Work closely with Scrum Master, Platform team(s), Architecture team to influence and build the right solution architecture.
  • Must be aware of the Agile ways of working.
  • Work with business Product Owners to support business transformation from legacy D&A solutions into automated Descriptive, Predictive and Prescriptive decision support solutions.
  • Serve as the voice of the Business customer towards Development team /squads. Translate from technical to business, and vice versa and lead the daily Development team stand-up.
  • Develop scope and define backlog items and divide the workload across the Agile development team.
  • Solve product related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
  • Understand end-to-end data management interactions and dependencies across complex data pipelines and models and how they impact D&A products.
  • Develop a scalable delivery team to accelerate the go-to-market of our D&A services.
  • Identifies and help the client understand the D&A and IT business model, value, and value proposition.
  • Work with Corporate Function Delivery Tribe Lead and Chapter Leads to put the right people in the Corporate Function squad.
  • Pro-actively shares best practice, ideas and insights across the team and utilizes the Agile Chapter structure to constructively inspire change towards a true DevOps operating model.
  • Excellent on Translating Business Requirements into clear Stories, map the personas, deliver the data required as a MIO and challenge the business requirements.
  • Being able to select and steer a DevOps team to ensure all related activities (BA, ETL, Data engineering, Visualization) are efficiently executed within the team towards a common goal – sprint planning.
  • Work on Data Catalog to promote BI Self Service, translating Data to clear business language.
  • Manage for constant increasing technology needs by developing organization, team, and self. Lead the squad delivery team and create team spirit with a ‘can-do’ mentality.
  • A mix of business focus and engineering mindset. Able to understand practical business problems and work alongside engineers to deliver compelling technical solutions.
  • Communicate with impact and gains commitment of individuals and stakeholders in a compelling way.
  • Relationship building, collaboration and influencing will be key given data complexity, challenging data integration needs and dealing with both central and decentralized business stakeholders.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Working with different levels of the organization (business and IT)
  • Multiple years of IT experience hands-on technical expertise on Data, ETL and Visualization work
  • Experience in AWS Cloud base ETL process, AWS Glue, AWS S3, AWS Redshift, Pyhton with Spark Programming, DevOps , CI/CD , Jenkins, Gitlab etc , Qlik experience nice to have.
  • Experience in working with SAP source systems and SAP BODS and Extraction processes.
  • Experience in Snaplogic Data Integration tool is added advantage.
  • Experience running Scrum/Agile development practice (ideally as product owner or scrum master).
  • Experience with Production Incident resolution management / SLA process.
  • Data Warehousing/Data Modelling and Intuitive D&A solutions to assure that our Global Data Model selling points are always met: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable
  • Ability to manage supplier resources and handle escalations as needed.
  • Managing expectations and partnership of D&A within Regions

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • Overall 12+ years of D&A management experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Data and BI in Finance or HR domain expertise
  • Experience leading teams in an agile matrix organization.
  • Experience with defining and implementing change / release management.
  • Experience in Technical, Production Incident Management and Problem-solving abilities.
  • Functional knowledge in Finance or HR related applications and data.
  • Proven track record in successful managing D&A delivery in Finance or HR space

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in AWS Solution Architect or Developer or Data Analytics – nice to have.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud – Must have.
  • Data Management, Governance, Data modelling, ETL    - Must have
  • QlikSense – nice to have.
  • Agile – must have
