Manager, Technical Advisory, Services & Support MY

Job Purpose *

Prepare and provide technical solutions for a sound and scalable enterprise architecture and solutions that meet the tactical to long term needs and strategies for all supporting functions i.e. Business Enablers (BE) within CIMB Group, and ensure that all aspects around the architecture and solutions are in compliance with applicable regulatory standards and requirements and CIMB Group technology strategy, policies and procedures.

Project manage, develop and support python based machine learning application for BE.

Key Responsibilities *

1. Prepare and deliver solution architecture with adherence to Group Technology IT Standard whilst staying compliant with regulatory requirements and standards.
2. Work closely with Relationship and Demand Management team within the unit to understand BEs’ business requirements, strategy, challenges and critical customer journeys and jointly perform High Level Solutions (HLS) and High Level Estimates (HLE) as well as translate into solution design documents (SDD). 
3. Assess design requirement and its fitness in the existing architecture environment in accordance with CIMB Group’s enterprise architecture standard.
4. Gather, analyse and develop requirements specification and establish operational scenarios and concepts for vendor developed applications and where applicable, work with vendor team to develop HLS.
5. Define and provide to relevant teams on the requirements for application components, platforms, interfaces, development tools, security controls and testing approaches.
6. Lead and conduct technical analysis and design of complex requirements and issues.
7. Create and develop high level architecture solutions and engineering documents that include mapping of various technology products into architecture design for optimal design with sizing details, estimations and implementation by considering the business non-functional requirements and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, CIMB Group Enterprise Architecture, Technology Standards, and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning framework.
8. Guide, oversee and coordinate the preparation of Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Document (FSD) and documentation of BCJ / BCW. 
9. Present SDD in Group Solution Review Council (GSRC) and addresses any action items raised.
10. Communicate the SDD and HLE to the Relationship and Demand Management team and ensure that the designed solution is approved in the Group Solution Review Council and successfully handed over and understood by the technical project team member.
11. Communicate to and work collaboratively with relevant teams and stakeholders on system architecture concepts, strategies and standards to ensure alignment and consistency of practices. 
12. Work closely with relevant teams to identify, analyse and manage defects, risks, impacts and inter-dependencies of different technology applications and/or projects and identify and jointly implement sustainable fixes, recovery and solutions as part of risk management plans.
13. Contribute to building the testing capability and strategies throughout development phases to ensure robustness and sufficiency from functionality, usability, performance aspects.
14. Provide technical expertise advice in all aspects of the solution designing, including infrastructure and product (e.g. scalability, security, availability, integration, implication) and technical support in resolving complex and technical design related problems.
15. Proactively conduct periodical application systems design and process analysis with relevant teams within the unit, GT and BE stakeholders for continuous system improvement. 
16. Perform design for data conversion by reviewing data mapping and define data conversion business rules.
17. Identify, monitor and respond to any technical risks including determining the need for vulnerability assessment (VA) as part of the source code process. 
18. Evaluate emerging products, technologies and frameworks, incorporate them into solution design and ensure technical viability, long-term compatibility, scalability and integration into CIMB Group environment. 
19. Actively participate and contribute to the development of business continuity plan (BCP) covering various aspects including but not limited to data backup, recovery and disaster recovery to ensure smooth business continuity including when a security breach occurs and disaster recovery plan is activated.
20. Work closely with Business Unit to solicit requirements.
21. Design and develop application on Python and any other relevant programming languages.
22. Provide application support and bug fixes for supported applications.

Job Specification *

Qualifications 

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline   Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements   Certification in Solution / Enterprise Architect i.e. TOGAF or Zachman  Relevant Work Experience 

• Minimum 10 years of IT architecture, solution design and implementation experience in large service or vendor based organisation or established banks/ financial institutions 
• At least 5 years of solid solutioning experience in banking industry
• Experience in producing designs of complex systems, including requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and assessment, technology selection, and design configuration
• Experience in designing complex application platforms 
• Experience in managing complex system integration and development of large scale projects
• Strong knowledge and experience in system testing, implementation, and production
• Understand the architecture techniques including gap analysis and requirement gathering
• At least 5 years of Python application development experience.
