Technical Reporting Lead- Manager - State Stret Global Advisors

Who we are looking for

State Street Global Advisors is looking for a software engineer and technical team lead with Masters (4+) or Bachelors (6+) years’ experience for our Cloud Modernization and Platform Team, a part of Application Technology Solutions. This is a hands-on development position for a candidate with proven record of software development and client reporting platform.

The candidate has industry experience (preferably in Financial Services) in supporting enterprise applications across various business units and has good exposure to SAS platforms. This is someone who has demonstrable cloud native development experience. The candidate has excellent development and problem-solving skills, someone with creativity and self-motivation to deliver on mission critical projects with tight timelines and competing priorities.

What you will be responsible for

• Min 3+ Years of working experience in any of client reporting product i.e., Kurtosys, Vermilion or Simcorp Coric.
• Demonstrating strong experience in any of RDBMS Oracle, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, Redshift.
• Demonstrating strong expertise in AWS Cloud computing services and implementing data integration solutions for multiple platforms in SSGA.
• Deploying high performing, quality/bug-free code in production using Java (Preferable), python etc.
• Executing unit test of data populated in target data container, validating expected result and ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Coordinating with business users for User Acceptance Testing and with Operations team for code deployment to upper environments.
• Ensuring all cloud solutions exhibit higher level of cost efficiency, performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Working with a team of BSA, Development, QA and DevOps engineers in agile framework.

What we value

• Good Hands-on knowledge of Client reporting product ( Kurtosys, Vermilion, or Simcorp Coric).
• Hands on development experience with strong skills in designing, developing and deploying complex applications using OLTP and OLAP based databases. 
• Experience with Cloud Security in AWS, specifically IAM Roles & Polices, Security Groups and Encryption keys is preferable
• Optimizing database performance, scalability, ensuring data security and compliance; Able to predict database storage and growth.
• 3+ years’ experience in hands on Cloud Native application development on AWS cloud platform, services, and maintaining cloud-based database systems.
• Proficiency with CICD and DevOps.

• Effective in an agile environment and deliver value incrementally, particularly when prioritizing against external dependencies.
• Strong, proven technical skills, with a track record of successfully building complex systems.
• Passionate for learning new skills and capabilities.

Education & Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Master's with 5+ or bachelor's with 8+ years of experience in Information Technology
• Experience working on enterprise application architecture and development. Experience in Financial Service industry is plus.
