DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop complex application modules by implementing business requirements. Responsible for the effective collaboration between Business Users, Development, Quality Assurance and Technology Support teams. Perform requirements gathering, testing, and implementation phases and work closely with business users and IT management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Translate business requirements into application functional specifications. Develop and update functional user stories/use cases and conduct business process modeling meetings to explain business requirements to development teams. Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; provide input to information/data flow; and understand and comply with Software Development Life Cycle Methodology. Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications, identify, and troubleshoot application code-related issues, and review and provide feedback to any required final user documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Technical Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Linux; Windows; Data Architecture Disciplines; Azure Cloud Services, GAIA or AWS; Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools, including Informatica PowerCenter, and Teradata loader; Export tools, including Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Pentaho and SSIS; Python; SQL; PL/SQL; Shell Scripting; Cloud native architecture; Sybase; Oracle; MariaDB; SQL Server; Reporting tools, such as Tableau; Self- service tools, such as Alteryx; System Integration Testing; Unit Testing; User Acceptance Testing; Regression Testing; Functional Testing; Creating logical and physical data models using data modeling tool such as ERWIN; SDLC, including JIRA , Microsoft Office Suite; BitBucket/GIT, and CI/CD deployment automation (such as Jenkins/Jules); Performance tuning; Control-M; and Cron.

Job Location: 1111 Polaris Pkwy., Columbus, OH 43240. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
