The HR Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and presenting key people data to support the HR team and help to proactively shape the people initiatives across the Company.
About the Role
The HR Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining people data and providing reporting and insights for various stakeholders across Head Office HR, Retail HR, Health & Safety and the Payroll department as well as other business areas.
The role will be varied, as well as maintaining existing BAU activities there are numerous current and upcoming projects which the HR Data Team are supporting.
As part of the HR Data Team you will be involved in the full project cycle when people data is involved. From collecting and gathering business requirements, to sourcing the relevant data and analysing, right through to producing actionable data driven insights.
The main responsibilities will be:
- Strengthening the analysis and reporting of current people data to support decision making around people initiatives.
- Building real time dashboards to report on Key Performance Indicators across HR.
- Ongoing development and maintenance of current people data processes and presentation both for the HR Teams, Store Management and numerous other business areas around Next.
- Supporting annual and ad-hoc HR team project work that require data analysis and presentation e.g. Salary Review, Talent Snapshots, Recruitment Dashboards, Engagement Surveys.
- Working with our HR People System provider Oracle to shape the required reporting output and people dashboards. Whilst implementing interim solutions to analyse and present this data.
Who are we looking for?
Essential
- Advanced spreadsheet skills - lookups, charts, macros, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, etc.
- Previous data analysis experience with the ability to manipulate and interpret data.
- Strong understanding of Google Workspace - in particular Google Sheets, Google Forms.
- Strong data visualisation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and present trends and key performance indicators for decision makers.
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Diligence and excellent attention to detail.
- A motivated team player with a great work ethic and positive attitude towards taking on new challenges.
- Knowledge of GDPR regulations, experience working with PII and other sensitive and confidential data.
Desirable
- Degree level or equivalent in an analytical or business-related field.
- Previous experience working within an HR environment.
- Good understanding of SQL.
- Knowledge of or experience using Google Looker Studio.
- Use of Business Intelligence packages and software e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview.
