The Zeitview Product Management team works on the front lines for all product-related processes and tasks. In this role, you will oversee the product development process – everything from product ideation to product deployment. As the Director, Product - Data Capture you will lead the data capture product team across all verticals; coordinating product, engineering, and operations to execute a product roadmap.

You will set an innovative data capture vision built on cutting edge technologies to cement Zeitview’s market leadership. You will lead the data capture product team whose primary responsibility is executing this vision through a roadmap to develop and maintain data capture specific software and hardware. You will work collaboratively across functions (Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales) to execute the roadmap, managing the product lifecycle from strategy to sunset. You bring strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking, and sound business judgment, along with the ability to think creatively and work independently. 

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Head of Data Capture to enhance the maturity of our Data Capture organization
• Oversee the strategic direction, development, and growth of Zeitview’s data capture capabilities
• Develop hardware and software solutions integrating advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, and robotics for aerial and ground based data capture
• Lead the data capture product team in the development and execution of product vision, including scoping, development, testing, and deployment
• Conduct thorough market research in robotics, autonomy software systems, photogrammetry, and advanced sensor systems to identify trends and opportunities for innovation
• Collaborate with field operations to ensure optimal end to end user experience, effective deployment of new technology, and efficient data capture execution
• Establish a cross vertical product roadmap emphasizing capabilities that push the company’s entire data capture offering forward
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage communications to ensure an understanding of the vision, requirements, goals, and milestones
• Identify technology risks and establish mitigation strategies around autonomous platforms
• Relentlessly, represent, document, and socialize the customer (internal and external) perspective

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree
• 8+ years of experience in product development or comparable position
• Experience with autonomous capable hardware such as drones and fixed wing aircraft and autonomous software techniques such as path planning, obstacle recognition and avoidance, ect.   
• Knowledge of various sensor data types such as RGB cameras, IR camera, Lidar, etc.
• Strong understanding of edge computing concepts such as optimizing machine learning inference, computer vision, and sensor integration
• Proven track record of experience working independently and cross-functionally to drive multiple activities to a successful outcome
• Strong product management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, manage long-term projects and to manage multiple phases of the product life cycle simultaneously
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to comfortably interact with customers, sales, marketing, development, and operations teams located across the globe 
• Comfortable developing quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business cases
• Ability to empathize with customers and clearly articulate their pain points internally

• Advanced understanding and application of the product development process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing enterprise level SaaS Platforms with a geospatial focus
• Experience flying aerial drones
• Experience in mobile application development
• Experience in renewable energy, specifically wind and solar
• Willingness to travel
