Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Data Governance Manager to join our newly established Data Management Office and lead the establishment and implementation of our Enterprise Data Governance Strategy and frameworks. In this dynamic role, you will drive the adoption of data governance practices across the organization, enhancing data maturity and literacy.

In this dynamic role you will:

• Lead the Enterprise Data Governance team.
• Build strong lasting relationships with stakeholders to obtain their buy-in and involvement at key points to support decisions, lead the roll-out of, training, and sustainability of data governance management in their Business Unit across the data domains.
• Develop the Enterprise Data Governance operating model with an end-to-end Data Governance framework, ensuring the establishment of Data Ownership and a robust model for GHD to meet its Data Governance ambitions with the adoption of the enterprise Data Governance standards.
• Drive for results and progress of Data Governance initiatives/projects through influence and collaboration within IS and other business units and teams through data in practice initiatives.
• Produce professional and high-quality Data Governance reports, communication, and presentations as required.
• Lead the development of 1st line Data Governance controls, playing a key role in facilitating enterprise data maturity assessments.
• Develop and maintain collaborative and positive relationships with GHD business units and Legal, Risk, and Compliance Partners.
• Lead the development of Enterprise Frameworks and standards across GHD Data Regulation, AI Governance & Ethics, Data Security, Data Privacy, and Data Lifecycle Management.

• Extensive knowledge of Data Governance methodology, technology, and platforms.
• Strong collaborator and communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Proactive, professional, and collaborative communication style, ability to build strong relationships and influence.
• Commercial awareness, highly organized, self-managing, and motivated.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Technology, Information Systems, data management, or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in a large and/or global professional services organization.
• Experience in the development of Data Policies Frameworks and standards and embedding these across a large-scale enterprise.
• Strong experience of writing data governance procedures and DG training.
• Strong experience with Data-centric Regulations, AI Governance, Data Privacy, and development of frameworks.
• Exposure to metadata management and experience of data quality and working within a data office.
• Experience with Data Maturity Assessment Methodologies.
