Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our cross-functional team of innovators. You will work on MLOps projects covering consulting, platform development, and the operationalization of machine learning models at scale. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the field of industrialized Artificial Intelligence, working with various clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing technical consulting and delivering solutions within teams to optimize performance.
  • Participate in designing and developing architectures, proof-of-concepts, and demos to support presales activities for clients.
  • Support technical leads in ensuring production-scale machine learning applications.
  • Contribute to AI algorithms and models development for data analysis.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing within the DXC machine learning community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • German and English language skills at C1 level or higher (written and spoken)
  • Professional experience in a related position or relevant internships.
  • Basic hands-on experience in Data Science and machine learning projects.
  • Familiarity with phases of a Big Data/Analytics project: Concept & design, development, implementation, change, and operation.
  • Basic experience in programming (Python, SQL).
  • Exposure to AI and Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies.
  • Awareness of DevOps, CI/CD, and MLOps practices.
  • Interest in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Strong customer focus and ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Highly motivated team player with a willingness to learn and grow.

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Exposure to data management solution architectures.
  • Familiarity with data versioning, pipeline tools, and model repositories such as Kubeflow, dvc, or mlflow.
  • Residence in Germany, preferably in regions like Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, or Stuttgart.
