Job Description

The Data team is responsible for providing easy-to-use data products & services to enable data-driven decision making, highly engaging consumer experiences and effective commercial products across Nine. 

As Senior Data Product Manager, Analytics Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in defining the analytics strategy and delivering the implementation of analytics tooling to drive consistent use of data across Nine, enabling new revenue opportunities and reducing cost. 

Reporting to the Director, Data Product & Analytics, you will lead a cross-functional squad responsible for developing and managing fit-for-purpose analytics tools & solutions that enable effective & efficient behavioural analytics capture, metrics definition, data cataloging and data visualisation. 

You will also be the Analytics Chapter Lead and provide people & best practice leadership to the Data Analysts who are embedded across other Data Product Squads. 

As Senior Data Product Manager, Analytics Platforms, you will:

  • Define the vision and roadmap for analytics platforms aligned with business objectives & industry best practice
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (customers) to understand their analytics needs and identify new opportunities to unlock more value from our data 
  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts and Data Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Deliver actionable analytics & insights which effectively inform business decision making
  • Collaborate with engineers on technical solutions, estimates and customer experiences
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from conceptualisation to launch & iteration, ensuring delivery on time and in budget 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define features, and establish success metrics 
  • Drive the development of scalable and robust analytics capture, transformation and visualisation
  • Act as a bridge between product analysts, engineers, designers and the business working seamlessly together to develop compelling product solutions
  • Create and maintain product roadmap using real-world user data, customer feedback, key metrics and other forms of business intelligence to inform prioritisation

Qualifications

We are keen to hear from those with Analytics leadership experience, ideally in a product-led environment. We are seeking someone with an innate ability to embed a data-driven culture, assess the relative value and impact of each potential solution, feature, project and initiative. Someone who is able to adapt to change, yet at the same time have an unwavering commitment to maintaining a coherent strategy.

With real-life product experiences, where you convey your strategy and vision to a wide and demanding stakeholder group, using evidence based & data lead communication.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • A Technology/Computer Science/Data Science/Mathematics/Business qualification, and relevant experience in a corporate or consulting environment 
  • Strong data analytics ecosystem knowledge, including behavioural analytics data capture and data visualisation. Exposure to BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience in setting an analytics vision and strategy for business domains
  • Ability to simplify complexity with a well structured & consultative approach to problem solving
  • People leadership experience, ideally leading cross-functional teams comprising of product, engineering & analytics roles 
  • Advanced analytical skill set - highly proficient in SQL and able to coach team in SQL best practice
  • Passion for data-driven decision-making and innovation, with a strong commitment to delivering actionable data & insights to stakeholders
  • The ability to communicate effectively with impact to technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Experience working successfully within agile product development environments and a solid understanding of agile delivery best practice 
  • Understanding of data governance principles, data management best practices, and regulatory compliance
