Introduction:
As a Solution Architect, you will be reporting to Manufacturing Data Domain Manager, and you will assist to understand and meet the needs for data consumers by creating data as a product. Your role is to support the Manufacturing Data Domain Manager for scoping, proposing, and designing cloud-based solutions to meet technological and business requirements.
Your Job:
Support Manufacturing Data Domain Manager to define and align clear priorities, goals, and objectives on data strategies and initiatives to support Digital Manufacturing transformation journey.
Work closely with Manufacturing Data Domain Manager and other stakeholders to design and implement data architectures and solutions to support digital manufacturing initiatives.
Play a critical role in advancing overall cloud strategy, presenting solutions, architectural standards, and integration of cloud technologies to ensure the successful acceptance by the stakeholders.
Translating business requirements into database, data warehouses, and data streams
Creating procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Analyzing, planning, and defining data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
Creating and implementing data management processes and procedures.
Collaborating with other teams within the organization to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess shareholder needs and goals.
Researching data acquisition opportunities.
Developing application programming interfaces (APIs) to retrieve data.
Publishing and/or presenting design reports.
Identifying areas for improvement in current systems.
Auditing database regularly to maintain quality.
Creating systems to keep data secure.
Continually learned about new technologies and looking to the future for why, and how our stakeholders should be adopting them for value realization.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in quantitative field as information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related engineering required.
A minimum of 5 years years of experience in Cloud-based data platforms.
Experience with data modeling, design and implementation, and system administration.
Experience with developing high-performance database applications and enterprise solutions.
Experience with analyzing and transforming data requirements into functional business reports with the use of Business Intelligence tools, including Python and SQL.
Ability to assess, design, and implement internal organization process improvements, including automation manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
Expert level working knowledge on Data Lake technologies, data storage formats (Parquet, ORC, Avro) and query engines (Athena, Presto, Dremio) and associated concepts for building optimized solutions at scale.
Knowledge of systems development cycle, project management approaches and requirements, design, and testing techniques.
Proficiency in data modeling and design, data mining, visualization, and Machine Learning skills.
Flexibility and ability to work with ambiguous problems and unstructured data.
Strong bias towards action and proven ability to work iteratively and quickly to show incremental impact and value.
Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Expertise in cloud computing, cloud architecture, strategic thinking and solutioning will be essential in driving value.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, Information Technology or equivalent.
