Your Opportunity 

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will join a growing team of architecture and solution design resources and drive the technology decisions to enable KPMG to put best of breed products in the market. This will involve your area owning and stewarding new solutions for the firm from feasibility through to deployment and its ongoing operations.  

The role includes: 

  • Leading complex solution architecture projects from conception to implementation, consulting with stakeholders to capture requirements and translating them into viable solutions along with project sizing and estimation. 
  • Spearheading definition of CTG’s technical strategies for domains you are responsible for – working closely with other CTG colleagues (including other Product Managers, Domain Architects, Engineering Leads, Data Scientists and Enterprise Architects) to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities. 
  • Creating solution designs that explain the problem, the architecture, how the system works, key considerations for security and data privacy and how it will be delivered. 
  • Conduct research into appropriate technologies and patterns to find the best technology solution among all possible to solve the business problem. 
  • Establishing and providing ongoing maintenance of the CTG Architecture Repository, including contributing to strategic architecture roadmaps, design patterns and domain architectures.  
  • Participating in architecture governance boards, setting architectural direction, and collaborating with R&D teams to prototype innovative solutions. 
  • Leading and mentoring newer members of the SA Chapter, through participation in architecture review board and team showcase sessions, providing guidance and feedback to fellow architects on their designs. 
  • Mentoring engineering teams on best practises, ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints and guiding implementation efforts. 
  • As part of our emerging AI practice, your role will be key to our ongoing success in this exciting space –  
    • Working with the broader team to architect robust, scalable AI models and infrastructures, while effectively communicating design principles and strategic choices to stakeholders. 
    • Researching and evaluating emerging AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, and frameworks to strengthen our tech stack and maintain competitive edge. 
    • Developing AI solution roadmaps in line with technological trends and business strategy, ensuring a forward-looking perspective on how AI can drive business outcomes.

  • You have deep knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and related technologies, with a strong foundation in AI principles and applications.

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:   

  • Comprehensive experience designing and implementing AI solutions, including expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics. 
  • Proficient with AI platforms and services from major cloud providers like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, including AI-specific tools and frameworks. 
  • Demonstrate programming skills relevant to AI, such as Python, R, and scala, as well as familiarity with AI libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. 
  • Has an in-depth understanding of data structures, data modelling, and software architecture pertinent to AI systems, with the ability to tackle complex system integration issues. 
  • Is knowledgeable in ethical AI practises, bias mitigation, and explainable AI, ensuring solutions are transparent, fair, and equitable. 
  • Displays strong leadership and is adept at managing cross-functional, diverse teams with a focus on promoting innovation and best practises in AI. 
  • Is recognised for superior problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset adept at interpreting complex datasets and translating them into actionable AI-driven business strategies. 
  • Can articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, facilitating clear communication between AI experts and business stakeholders.
