The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing data processes and infrastructure that support the MS2.0 platform.

This candidate will have a working understanding of data collected from Network Monitoring Telemetry, a demonstrated ability to organize data, define required data schemas and work with various stakeholders, database administrators, dashboard designers, API systems, and other System Owners on data interchange.

 

Make an Impact by:

  • Understand and interpret data from Network Monitoring Telemetry, working with relevant stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Organize and analyse collected data, defining required data schemes.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand and implement data schemas.
  • Work with Database Administrators and Dashboard Designers to prepare data for data visualization.
  • Extract and organize data via APIs, as well as develop API packaging for data interchange.
  • Coordinate with other System Owners on data interchange activities.
  • Maintain robust, efficient, and secure data pipelines and processes.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.

 

Skills for Success:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of APIs, Python, and MSSQL databases.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana.
  • Familiarity with ELK stack and SDWAN Networking is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex, data-driven concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and structures, as well as experience with data modelling and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of networking and cloud-based systems.
  • Knowledge of data compliance and privacy standards.
  • Proven experience in managing large datasets and developing and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of tableau, powerBi, java
