The BB Analytics, Data and Decision Science (BB ADDS) team uses data and analytics to better understand our customers to improve the customer engagement experience and develop innovative features that customers can use through digital channels.

Do work that matters:

As part of the ADDS Customer Insights & Engagement team, you will be directly contributing to analytics and insights that impact how the Business Bank engages with customers and the features that businesses will see through the app.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Work closely with the wider ADDS team, product owners and internal stakeholders to understand their data requirements and build out a world class data asset

  • Drive new and creative ways to leverage transactional data to provide predictive and prescriptive insights to our customers through digital channels

  • Develop interactive and automated dashboards that help the leadership team make strategic decisions through pro-active deep dives and insights

  • Develop tools for our frontline staff and back-office to better understand and promote meaningful conversations with our customers

  • Support the optimisation of customer engagement strategies and product specific initiatives, using insights and analytics to develop innovative solutions on customer profiling and segmentation

  • Working collaboratively in cross-functional Scrum teams with Marketing, Product, Analytics and Business Segment colleagues, you will be responsible for leveraging the Group’s data assets to provide insights, design multi-channel customer journeys and develop always-on campaigns that transform customer engagement by delivering tailored customer communications – the right message to the right customer, at the right time, via the right channel.

  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with internal teams (ADDS, Digital, Product, Credit Risk Strategy, DOT)

  • Embrace continuous self-development and be comfortable with stepping out of your comfort zone and learning new skills

  • Minimum 2+ years in Data Analytics or similar experience (e.g. actuary, pricing, or credit risk);

  • Ability to understand complex problems and take a structured approach using data driven insights to solve them

  • Experience in SQL is required

  • Attention to detail and willingness to pick up new concepts or skills

  • Comfortable with coding, experience in Python or R preferred

  • Any experience working with large datasets desirable (Spark, Hive, Data Science, Hadoop and others)

  • Proficiency in building tools and reporting through tools such as Tableau (preferred) or R-Shiny

  • Sound communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Degree in relevant discipline (qualification in Actuarial studies, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Maths, or Sciences preferred)
