About the role

Gen CDO organization under Finance deals with all the data needs of Business users from across the globe. Data coming from all the brands including Norton, Avast, LifeLock, Avira, AVG, Reputation Defender, and CCleaner. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Data Engineer, to be part of Data Engineering team in CDO along with other data engineers playing critical role for smooth Data processing, creating new data pipelines, designing new data products.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Team member of CDO organization (Central Data Office)  

• Develop, drive and maintain various Data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform – BigQuery , PySpark 

• Develop and maintain self service data/reporting solutions for various internal stakeholders - Tabular Models (SSAS), PowerBI, LookerStudio etc. 

• Oversees the external data acquisition and direction of multiple internal big data projects 

• Aligns database development projects with business strategy.  

• Analysis, implementation, testing and documentation of business intelligence applications and toolsets. 

• Expert in Product Analytics area - understanding data, processing data 

• Constant self starter and problem solver.  Tackles major business problems and find solutions for them 

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

• 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT Development, analysis, and design, Shell scripting

• Strong understanding of data warehouse principles and technologies such as Oracle, Azure SQL Data Warehouse and data bricks

• 5-7 years of experience in building complex pipelines

• Hands-on experience working in an Agile environment

• Willingness to learn and experiment with technologies outside of his/her comfort area

• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written

• Highly organized and able to multi-task
