We are part of the Climate and Resource Integration department with team members located in Porto and Aarhus, responsible for delivering climate data capabilities where needed. We are responsible for the simulation and modeling of the weather and climate and how they affect the wind turbines in the real world and the development of tools to be used mostly in the pre-construction phase to be used on tasks like site evaluation, resource assessment, layout optimization, wake modeling or yield assessment.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities span from strategic development of new technologies to delivering tools and applications in Site Prospecting and Plant Configuration areas. We have multiple ongoing projects directly aimed at predicting the value of energy. In this team, we need a new team member to focus on software application development for the products developed by the team. Responsibilities will include:

• Design architectures for data-driven and data-intensive Python programs
• Iteratively refine architectures to match a global business environment
• Develop subsystems/modules for use in these architectures and reuse across multiple systems

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience within the area of software development
• Proficient in any high-level object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, or other)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• The following experience is an added value, but not a requirement:
  • Experience with Systems Engineering / Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD
  • Experience with databases e.g. advanced queries and index creation
  • Experience with control theory, Machine learning, data science, optimization
  • Experience with cyber-physical systems and cyber security in this context
