Your area of work

Within the CTO area (Chief Technology Officer) we are responsible for ensuring an effective alignment between business and strategy, enabling Deutsche Börse to execute new technology opportunities. In doing so, we take care of software development and IT operation services for data products, provide infrastructure to drive the development of automation and robotics solutions and set up all necessary cloud infrastructure requirements to enable the usage of state-of-the-art technologies in a secure and regulatory compliant way.

At Reference Data as a Service we focus on collecting, validating, and distributing reference data from internal and external sources required to run our broad business.

As Cloud Engineer, you will be an essential part of the Reference Data team. You understand how dataflows work from end to end, i.e., ingest, throughput / validation, transformation, verification, output - including different API-formats. You will implement the data requirements in technical solutions based on Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks). You will be part of an international team and interact with our Data Architects, Data Analysts and Software Engineers to ensure a data driven approach. You will help us to build completely new Reference Data platform to manage >8500 attributes, >140 mio. data updates per day, >76 mio. instruments.

Your responsibilities

• Design, implementation and testing software components / services
• Implement data pipelines & data models
• Implement data services and APIs
• Implement data quality metrics
• Collaborate with the data architect and software engineers

Your profile

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure and/or GCP and/or AWS)
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Golang)
• Willingness to learn Azure Cloud Technologies, Python, Golang, API (GraphQL)
• Extremely curious about modern technology and cloud.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

Following experience is a plus:

• • Experience with Azure DataBricks, Azure Data Lake
  • Experience with Cosmos DB, SQL Databases and some knowledge on REACT
