Your role: 

As a Working Student in our Data Science Team, you can play a key role in how we develop, operate, and scale innovative data-driven solutions for our customers in the semiconductor industry. You will research and implement state-of-the-art conformal prediction methods to address data science challenges in critical manufacturing processes and improve the robustness of our machine learning models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical modeling and machine learning as well as initial experience in developing prediction algorithms for real-world applications. Working as part of a global, cross-functional team of specialists from Data Science, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and other departments, you will drive data analytics projects across R&D, Quality, and High Volume Manufacturing.

Who you are:

  • Currently enrolled student in Computer Science, Math, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical field with more than six months left before graduation.
  • Sound knowledge of common data science methods and initial experience in applying machine learning in practice. Expertise in applying conformal prediction methods to quantify and manage model uncertainty is a plus.
  • Hands-on programming experience in Python and its core data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, Sklearn) required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively about challenging tasks.
  • Good communication skills in English.
