As a Data Scientist at Sportradar, you will work with world leading experts to design and develop models and algorithms for optimization and automation of Sportradar's managed trading services products and sportsbook trading operations. You will explore large collections of data collected by Sportradar, as well as data related to the usage of our products and services, reaching millions of end-users across the globe. You will work closely with product owners and technical leads in our managed trading services product vertical.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in machine learning and statistics, be comfortable working with big datasets, will understand methods for rigid validation of results, and master different statistical analysis tools and scripting to develop and validate models and data analysis ideas.

Sportradar is a global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data for hundreds of business customers around the world, in turn entertaining millions of sports enthusiasts. Our data science teams leverage Sportradar's data analytics infrastructure for streamlined development and deployment of AI models, tapping into Sportradar's extensive datasets on sports and betting transactions as well as data related to the use of Sportradar's products and services, reaching millions of end-users across the globe.

THE CHALLENGE:

• Develop machine learning or statistical predictive models for use in our products and services.

• Rigorously validate methods, models, algorithms and hypotheses using back-testing on historical data and/or simulations.

• Analyse and explore data using statistical analysis tools and scripting.

• Querying of large analytical databases using advenced SQL.

• Deploy models into production, handle maintenance and accompany model performance with monitoring dashboards.

• Work closely with product owners and technical leads in our managed trading services (MTS) product vertical.

• Present ideas and solutions to software developers and business stakeholders in a clear and understandable way.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Demonstrated competency in the following areas: machine learning and/or statistics, efficiently working with big data, statistical validation of results.

• Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with best practices in software development.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL.

• Experience working with version control system (git).

• Programming experience is a must.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Bonus: Experience working with Mac/Linux environments.

• Bonus: Experience with development in Java.

• Bonus: Experience with developing Docker images.

• Bonus: Hands-on experience with developing reporting solutions and interactive dashboards using BI tools such as Qlik Sense, PowerBI or Quick Sight.

• Passionate about sport, having experience with sport betting or at least having interest to learn mathematics of sport betting.

• Autonomous, rigorous, creative and a team player.

• Bachelor of Science in Mathematics / Statistics, Computer Science / Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.

• Preferably you are a Senior Data Scientist, but we are open also for lower experience if you demonstrate strong coding skills, coherent and creative thinking and are passionate to learn and develop.
