Data Architect (Cloud) | Permanent Contract | Athens - GR

Your daily work routine will include:

• Architectural Design: Design scalable and robust data architectures on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to support business requirements and objectives;
• Data Integration: Develop and implement data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow between disparate systems and cloud environments;
• Data Modeling: Create and maintain logical, physical, and conceptual data models to support various business applications and analytics;
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing to ensure high performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency;
• Security and Compliance: Ensure data architectures adhere to security standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in data governance;
• Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions;
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and data architecture, and apply this knowledge to improve existing systems;
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, processes, and workflows to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
  

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field;
• 9+ years of experience as ETL Developer developing complex ETL/ELT processes, from which 4+ years as an DW/ETL Architect;
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud (Azure is a big plus);
• Solid experience in data warehouse design, data modelling (e.g. dimensional modelling, 3NF etc.), data management and BI;
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools and processes;
• Proficiency with datalake house solutions (e.g., Databricks, Airflow, Κafka);
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark);
• Team player with excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills;
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative;
• Understanding of the Agile Software Development methodology;
• Excellent command of English both written and spoken (Β2 or higher);
• Flexibility for travelling and able to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
