The Position

We are the Data & Analytics Chapter, part of Integrated Informatics at Roche. We build excellence and mastery in next-generation data and analytics capabilities, including but not limited to Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Management & Governance.  We maximize value from data - all the way, from Discovery to Insights.

The Opportunity 

We seek a highly skilled Analytics Platform Product Owner with expertise in cloud-based data platform lifecycle management, an expert, who will manage change, drive teamwork, and the adoption of new features and capabilities. The Product Owner will manage the ThoughtSpot SaaS Platform for Roche, provide technical knowledge of engineering principles, and contribute to the definition of a roadmap consistent with the overall strategic needs.

The official name of the position: Data & Analytics Specialist

You will work on various aspects, including but not limited to:

  • Provide technical knowledge of engineering principles and their application to developing reliable and high-quality systems that satisfy customer needs and business requirements

  • Assess current state of solutions, define future state needs, identify gaps and recommend new technology solutions and strategic business execution improvements and support product roadmap development consistent with the overall strategic needs and direction of the foundation domain 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, and business stakeholders, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solution.

  • Develop strategies for appropriate API integration to  Thoughtspot, Snowflake, and integrate with other cloud data warehouses and provide technical leadership and guidance in self-service technologies  and capabilities and collaborate with other Product Owners, Service owners of cloud-based platforms, architects,  data engineering teams, and integration teams to develop standards and appropriate solutions,  definie long-term architecture vision, integration patterns and review of technical portfolio

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in advanced analytics, business intelligence, and how AI is used to retrieve specific data with the help of  LLMs. Understand the data security requirements when integrating with LLMs and recommend appropriate security measures

  • Ensure the security and privacy of sensitive data by implementing appropriate security measures, policies, procedures, and best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices, e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, and others

  • Continuously improves and expands capabilities in engineering best practices and advises teams on the selection and deployment of appropriate tools and standards relevant to support  SaaS, Cloud and On-premise solutions as needed 

Who you are:

  • 5+ experience in implementation & management of data analytics solutions with bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of BI landscape, data warehouse solutions, including cloud data warehouses such e.g. Snowflake etc. 

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms and services, e.g.  AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Solid conceptual understanding of AI concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design complex solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders and experience with Agile development methodologies.

  • Influencer and negotiator who can align executives and senior stakeholders to a shared vision and roadmap with compelling communications & presentations  regardless of the chosen medium and valuable experience with BI Platforms like Tableau, SAC or other BI platforms with expert certification highly recommended
