Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience : 6+ years
- Must have : Data Warehousing Concepts,SQL (Strong),Tableau (Strong)
- BI Report Engineer with experience in report engineering and BI tools. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik and analyze business requirements, ensure data accuracy, optimize reporting processes, and provide user training and support. Additionally, you'll analyze systems for improvements, ensure quality in all tasks, and stay updated on database management technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik and strong data modeling, data warehousing, and SQL skills.
- Experience in designing interactive reports and dashboards with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and GIT.
- Preferred: Financial domain experience, web applications built with .Net and Angular, and familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
- Knowledge of high-quality professional software engineering practices for agile software development cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment.
- Fundamental knowledge of design patterns
- Experience in communicating effectively with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
- Collaborate with others and build positive working relationships.
- Possess a strong work ethic.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzing the project’s requirements and the ability to convert said requirements into technical documents, design, and code.
- Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
- Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
- Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs.
- Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it.
- Implementing design methodologies and toolsets
- Writing well-designed, defect-free code which scales well and follows all best practices and guidelines.
- Executing the development of software with a strong focus on security, performance, and robustness.
- Conducting deep level analysis to identify the root causes to systematically resolve issues.
- Following all defined software configuration management best practices
- Reviewing code to identify issues as well as deviations from best practices.
- Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
