Data Engineer (Google Cloud)

As a Data Engineer (Google Cluod), you will be focused on establishing data flows from different sources to create consistent, accurate, reliable data structures. You will be building out analytics solutions and working hands-on with several GCP Products, to enable the team generating insights, the management making data-driven decisions, and finally creating business value.

Further responsibilities include:

• Integrating digital analytics data with other platforms, building batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks in GCP cloud platform, implementing and integrating REST APIs;
• Analyzing raw data, ad hoc reporting and analyses, creating data analytics dashboards, using an analytical, data-driven approach to drive a deep understanding of fast changing business;
• Developing and maintaining datasets, improving data quality and efficiency;
• Create Data Security design for secure data storage, access and processing using encryption and role management architectural best practices;
• Work with the team to design and implement modern, scalable data solutions using a range of new and emerging technologies, both with GCP and other tools and develop Data Quality framework;
• Supporting Tracking activities and other Tag Management activities with GTM.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics or relevant field;
• At least 3 years’ experience in a data engineering role;
• Proven experience with SQL and with SQL and NoSQL modern data stores, and knowledge of Python, Spark, JavaScript, Node.js;
• Hands on and deep experience working with Google Data Products (e.g. BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, AI Building Blocks, Looker, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataprep, DataStudio, Tag Manager, etc.);
• Good understanding of GCP Architecture batch and streaming, strong knowledge of data technologies and data modeling, expertise on building modern, cloud-native data pipelines and operations;
• Intuitive thinking of how to organize, normalize/denormalize, and store complex data, passion for mapping and designing ingestion and transformation of data from multiple sources;
• Experience in working with/on data warehouses, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, EL/ELT/ETL and reporting/analytic tools, environments, and data structures;
• Experience in Big Data, information retrieval, data mining.

Nice to Have:

• Google Cloud Data Engineer Certification;
• Experience using Big Data echo system Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Hbase;
• Experience in AI/ML;
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles;
• Experience with Google Analytics, Data Layer Management, web event tracking;
• Experience with Server Side Tag Management and integrations with GCP and other products of Google Marketing Platform;
• Experience with Data visualization tools (LookerStudio/Qliksense/…).
