Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. In order to deploy our technology safely, quickly, and broadly we run millions of offline simulation tests. We’re searching for a Data Engineer on Simulation build the scalable systems needed to store, process, surface and analyze our simulation data.

In this role, you will

• Build pipelines & services to create, handle or organize a continuously growing amount of data
• Surfacing aggregate measurements in dashboards and web applications
• Coordinating with other teams to clarify & understand the projects to be delivered, and with other team members to collaborate & distribute work
• Ensuring that our production systems stay healthy

Required Qualifications

• Mastery of at least one widely used programming language (e.g. C++, Java, Python, Javascript)
• Some experience with Python
• Experience with relational databases and SQL 

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with Cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, GCP)
• JavaScript
• Frontend frameworks, e.g. React
• Data visualization (Sisense, Tableau, etc.)
• AWS or Google cloud experience
