Role Purpose:

The Team Lead – Supervisor, Data Analyst is valued team member who supports the Tissue Operations team and will be responsible for all tasks at the project data analyst level with additional leadership roles. This position will report to the Director Project Management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee/develop training tools for new and existing staff to facilitate in staff development opportunities
  • Serve as a mentor to the Project Specialist team fielding initial questions and escalating as needed.
  • Expert in problem solving related to purchase orders and other facets of order fulfilment.
  • Responsible for higher level projects including those molecular in design. This role will serve as an assistant to the Project Specialist Supervisor.
  • Good experience in molecular/FFPE projects, Tissue data reconciliation, specimen requisitions data and biorepository data.
  • Serve as a specialist in lab service projects with respect to their flow and communication.
  • Act as the Project Specialist /Lab staff lead for daily queries and ensures their resolution.
  • Apply Root Cause Investigation methodology for all data errors to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the quality control expert on the project specialist team.
  • Provide Feedback/Evaluation of team to Project Supervisor.
  • Oversee completeness of data management documentation for the Biospecimen.
  • Convert data from external suppliers accurately into the IMS database
  • Assist in management of SharePoint ensuring the most up-to-date information is located in this forum • Identify and implement process improvements by participating and providing input on initiatives to simplify and automate complex processes
  • Assist the team in preparation of various scheduled & ad hoc reports on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis such as project performance reports, tissue reports, data correction reports etc.
  • Work extensively on correcting existing database.

Essential Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related business field
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience with at least 2 years in leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Data Management with our inventory management system and client facing databases requiring an advanced skill level Should have working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Flexibility and willing to work on multiple assignments of varying tasks with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Requires good attention to detail, excellent documentation skills and must work well in a group environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and an ability to build credibility with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starting attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow rapidly
  • Willingness to extend yourself and assist other team members • Possesses ethics and integrity when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend the English language
  • Experience working with high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment
  • Team oriented – actively promote a cooperative/positive team spirit and respect the diverse contributions of teams, partners and networks; create and build value for the company and its stakeholders.
