Staff Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer with expertise in SQL and proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in designing and maintaining data systems, advanced SQL querying, and developing impactful visualizations to support business decision-making. This role requires deep technical expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
·      Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to provide insights into key business metrics.
·      Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL and other relevant technologies.
·      Optimize and streamline data workflows to ensure efficiency and scalability.
·      Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
·      Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
·      Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
·      Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on SQL best practices and data visualization techniques.
·      Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in SQL, data engineering, and data visualization tools.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related role.
3. Expertise in SQL querying, performance tuning, and database design principles.
4. Strong proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
5. Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
6. Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data integration techniques.
7. Proven track record of delivering scalable and efficient data solutions.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
9. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
10. Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
