Senior Data Scientist

Job Description & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and graph theory. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with Financial Services clients and significant experience working with large corporate clients. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to assist in risk model creation are essential. Additionally, the candidate should be able to help the team in the development of either the frontend or backend, making knowledge of AngularJS and Flask a significant plus. Significant experience with Quantexa platform is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms;

• Utilize graph theory to analyze and model complex networks and relationships;

• Work closely with Financial Services clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions;

• Implement advanced Machine Learning and AI algorithms;

• Collaborate with large corporate clients to deliver data-driven insights and strategies;

• Assist in the creation and refinement of risk models;

• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis;

• Perform data mining and data analysis using state-of-the-art methods;

• Select features, build and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques;

• Extend company data with third-party sources when required;

• Enhance data collection procedures to include relevant information for analytical systems;

• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear, actionable manner;

• Create automated anomaly detection systems and track their performance;

• Assist in frontend or backend development, leveraging knowledge in AngularJS and Flask.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Data Science;

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in data science;

• Extensive understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms;

• Strong proficiency in graph theory and its applications;

• Prior experience working with Financial Services clients;

• Significant experience working within large corporate culture;

• Significant experience with Quantexa platform is a must;

• Strong mathematical background with expertise in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and statistical methods;

• Proficiency in Python;

• Experience with data visualization tools like matplotlib, ggplot, d3.js, or Tableau;

• Familiarity with big data processing frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark;

• Excellent communication and presentation skills;

• Ability to translate complex findings into actionable business insights;

• Experience with Agile development methodologies;

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;

• Knowledge of AngularJS and Flask is a big plus;

• Hands-on experience with the Quantexa platform for at least one year is a must.
