Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to lead our eFX Quant Desk. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in quantitative analysis, algorithmic trading, and leadership within the FX domain. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of sophisticated quantitative models and strategies to enhance our eFX trading capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1.         Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quantitative analysts and developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Promote professional development and continuous learning within the team.

2.         Quantitative Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement advanced quantitative models and trading algorithms for eFX and STIRT.
  • Optimize existing models and strategies to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability.

3.         Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of FX markets to identify trading opportunities and inform strategy development.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting eFX and STIRT.
  • Conduct data analysis for trends, and signal extraction, stochastic modelling, trading parameters calibration, and statistical hypothesis research

4.         Risk Management:

  • Ensure robust risk management practices are in place, adhering to the firm's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage risks associated with quantitative strategies and models.

5.         Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with trading desks, technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of quantitative models into trading systems.
  • Communicate complex quantitative concepts and strategies effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

6.         Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor the performance of quantitative models and strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the performance, risks, and strategic direction of the quant desk.

7.         Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve processes, models, and overall desk performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in quantitative analysis and algorithmic trading within the FX markets.
  • Proven track record of success in a leadership role within a financial institution or trading firm.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, KDB and Java.
  • Proficiency with quantitative tools and platforms, such as MATLAB, R, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, and stochastic modeling.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of FX and STIRT markets, including market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability, with a focus on team development, collaboration, and performance optimization.
