Sr Research Scientist

About the Opportunity

Job Summary:
The Senior Research Scientist will conduct applied research, provide leadership, and train other scientists in connection with projects that advance the Burnes Center agenda of innovation in private-sector as well as public-sector organizations for social good.   This position should attract a seasoned leader with an extensive track record of publications and impact projects on private-sector entrepreneurship in the public interest.

Qualifications:

- PhD in a business discipline such as economics.

- A documented record of scholarly leadership, such as an Associate Deanship in a business school and/or election to a position of responsibility in an academic association.

- A record of peer-reviewed publications in a field such as Strategic Management of private-sector organizations.

- Evidence of effective training of other scientists.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- A record of involvement in non-governmental organizations.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Passion for the public interest.

Job Responsibilities:

- Conduct scientific research on innovation by private-sector organizations that contributes to fulfillment of public interests.

- Support junior and other senior scientists in project design and execution.

- Engage in impact projects through which research findings are brought into practice by executives in ways that improve public outcomes.

- Provide support for the Director of the Burnes Center in strategic initiatives.
