Tyson Enterprise Asset Management is critical to enable comprehensive asset tracking, maintenance, and performance management. As part of the department, you will help ensure that data from various asset management activities is accurately captured, integrated, and utilized for predictive maintenance, resource planning, and decision-making. Your work will directly contribute to maximizing asset performance and reducing operational costs by providing reliable and actionable data insights.
The role is critical in the total lifecycle management of assets, from acquisition through to disposition. You will develop and manage data pipelines that support asset lifecycle management, ensuring data is effectively collected, processed, and analyzed at each stage. This includes the initial data acquisition, continuous data integration, and final data disposition, ensuring data integrity and availability throughout the asset's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integration: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into SAP as well as ingest and support model requirement in the chosen data lake solution.
- Data Management: Maintaining and managing master data records, including equipment, maintenance plans, measuring points, etc., in accordance with industry best practices and organizational standards in SAP PM, PS, and MM modules. Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data architectures that ensure the availability and quality of data.
- Data Quality: Implement methods to improve data reliability, quality, and efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze raw data, interpret trends and patterns, and prepare data for advanced analytics.
- Lifecycle Management: Support the total lifecycle management of assets by ensuring data integrity from acquisition through disposition.

Prior exposure to data management, data analysis, or database administration, preferably in a manufacturing or asset-intensive environment, is advantageous. Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, particularly within the context of food manufacturing, is a plus. Internships, projects, or coursework involving data engineering, asset management, or related fields demonstrate relevant skills and readiness for the role. Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to align master data practices with business objectives and operational requirements.
Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is a must. Exposure of Microsoft-based tools such as PowerBI, Power Query, and Power Pivot, with the ability to analyze and visualize data effectively using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas for data manipulation and calculation. Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools and technologies quickly, with a willingness to expand technical skills as needed.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success as a data engineer. The ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders is paramount.
