Ford Champs program will allow to get to now different business areas through 12 to 24 months, while you improve your skills and become a better professional.​

The Ford Vehicle Controls - VMAPS team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to advance existing continuous integration & continuous development infrastructure on-prem and in the cloud (currently GCP) to allow development and release vehicle-simulation applications. Working in a fast-moving corporate environment, you will be a key member of the DevOps team that is responsible for deploying, maintaining and supporting CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. GitHub, Jenkins, Jfrog, etc.) and producing build environments using an IaaS philosophy. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate frequently with various external teams (software developers, Corporate IT security, QA and modelling development)
  • Support deployment of continuous integration pipelines from ground up.
  • Monitor and maintain CI/CD builds and testing, analyze trends, and implement continuous improvements for reliability and build times.
  • Debug MATLAB scripts and Simulink Models
  • Develop and maintain VMs for developer and build environment.
  • Develop and maintain Confluence documentation for tools and processes.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • BS  Computer science, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering.
  • High learning agility 
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Emotional resilience
  • Highly organized
  • Experience in of merging and branching code using Git/GitHub
  • Experience in MATLAB and Simulink
  • Experience writing scripts using C, Python, Groovy, or PowerShell

 

Nice to Haves (Desired Qualifications/Experience):

  • Experience developing and maintaining Cloud CI/CD tools and environments in a

large enterprise (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Build automation tools, Nexus, Terraform etc.)

  • Experience in Linux operating system
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Basic Vehicle knowledge GAS and EV
  • Experience using and administering tools like GitHub, JIRA and Nexus
  • Experience with cloud computing
  • Familiarity with API’s
