Our Digital Health team is harnessing technology to build a leading portfolio of digital health solutions that will transform the eye care experience for medical professionals to patients and enable improved patient outcomes – from a predictive health care delivery platform harnessing ML and analytics to innovative medical device software. 

As Sr Data Scientist – Digital Health, you will be responsible for applying expertise in AI/ML and advanced analytics to design and build analytics products and services in digital health, partnering with a cross-functional team of digital product managers, data engineers, and solution architects in an agile environment. In addition, you will collaborate with business partners to define and translate the business problems into structured analytic approaches and drive actionable insights from data to support critical business decisions. We are looking for someone who is a strategic thinker and problem solver. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Design, develop and operationalize a reusable and modular analytics platform and products, partnering with solution architects, data engineers, and product team
•    Collaborate with data product team to define data requirements for analytics use cases  
•    Collaborate with data engineering team to define and build data semantic layer on how data should be used for analytics, including measures and ML features 
•    Collaborate with business partners to define business problems, and design and build advanced analysis and ML models that drive actionable insights from data to support business decisions
•    Advocate and educate on the value of data-driven decision-making, with a focus on solving problems
•    Stay updated with AI/ML innovations and best practices, and continue driving improvements of our analytics capabilities
•    Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, speed, innovation, and engineering excellence  

Key Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
•    3+ years of hands-on experience in developing advanced analysis and ML models to solve business problems.
•    2+ years of hands-on experience in MLOps and full life cycle of developing, deploying and operationalizing analytics products
•    2+ years of hands-on experience in developing analytics applications and products on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
•    Proficient in Machine Learning techniques such as classification, regression, anomaly detection, optimization, and predictive models on large scale datasets.
•    Proficient in Python, R and SQL  
•    Proficient in Dashboard/BI and Data visualization tools (eg. Tableau, Quicksight)
•    Thrives in dynamic, cross-functional team environments. Possesses a team-first mindset, valuing diverse perspectives and contributing to a collaborative work culture.
•    Approaches challenges with a positive and can-do attitude. Willing to challenge the status quo, demonstrating ability to understand when and how to take appropriate risks to drive performance.  
•    A passionate problem solver
•    Demonstrated ability to efficiently learn and solve new business domains and problems


 Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience in health care and health care data 
•    Experience with NLP and GenAI
