Southwest Key Programs (SWK) is one of the largest, Latino-led nonprofit organizations in the United States.Job Summary:
The Data Specialist helps deliver operational efficiency and ensure that data-driven insights are accessible. This individual ensures seamless coordination of interactive online learning modules, the establishment of learning communities, and other project activities for providers serving Refugees and Migrants (R/M). Within four months of the project's start and repeated in the third year, it will serve as a part of the Needs Assessment Team (Activity 2) for the assessment of current resources and gaps for R/M populations and the providers that serve them.
Essential Functions:
- Online Learning Modules Coordination: Assist in the coordination and scheduling of the Advisory Board meeting.
- Learning Communities Facilitation: Aid in the operational establishment of Learning Communities, ensuring smooth multi-session virtual events that drive peer learning and knowledge sharing.
- Liaison with IT and LMS Development Team: Collaborate with IT and the LMS Development Team to ensure the effectiveness of electronic systems, especially the online elements of technical assistance (TA).
- Data Management: Collect, organize, and store data related to provider engagement, TA sessions, learning module utilization, and learning community participation.
- Data Analysis: Extract insights about project performance, provider engagement, and other key metrics. Offer regular reports to the Project Director and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Pinpoint operational bottlenecks and suggest enhancements. Collaborate with the teams to drive improvements in project execution.
- Administrative Duties: Handle invoicing, resource procurement, and other administrative tasks pertinent to the project.
- Operational Support: Facilitate the smooth functioning of the project by coordinating meetings, handling logistics, maintaining schedules, and providing overall operational support to both the TA and Engagement teams.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure operational and data activities align with SAMHSA and other pertinent guidelines, maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and software, with robust organizational capabilities.
- Understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of projects serving R/M populations.
- Stellar communication skills, encompassing oral and written media.
- Proven experience in operations and data management within a project or program setting. A background in health or social service projects is advantageous. Liaising experience with IT and learning management systems is valuable.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, data science, social sciences, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics or operations management are
- Experience: Three years in operations and data or program management, in a health or nonprofit setting preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
Work Environment:
General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
