Data Analyst, Health and Benefits Canada (Night Shift)

Data Management
- Populate, on a monthly and/or quarterly basis, financial tools, and programs by pulling reports from insurance carriers’ websites or other data sources. Conduct a quality review of your work and others.
- Using WTW’s proprietary tools, perform financial analyses such as renewal analyses, plan design alternative cost estimates, and calculating reserves.
- Accurately produce client-ready reports that show past, present, and future financial impact and utilization of medical, pharmacy, dental, life and disability insurance products offered by Canadian employers as well as their plan design summaries
- Finalize deliverables by completing various tools to track time spent on the project and ensure the final position of the client is captured in WTW’s tools.
- For all deliverables, review your own and others’ work product to quickly identify and correct data errors, ensuring all deliverables meet the WTW excellence and quality standards.
- Manage all deliverables for timely completion based on turnaround times agreed upon with the client teams; where requests are made on a rush basis, assess minimum time required and negotiate as needed.
- Build strong relationships with other data analysts and consultants to collaborate effectively on client projects and internal development activities.
- Research and provide updates and escalation for client (internal and external) requests. Work with appropriate team members in gaining resolution.
- Working knowledge of renewal analysis, renewal report preparation, experience reporting, plan design summaries, drug reporting, disability reporting, experience reporting (premium and claims)
- Data validation, manipulation, and formatting in data management tools (advanced Excel skills are essential; Access and other tools are a plus)
- Attend and actively participate in kick off meetings or calls with the consultants to discuss steps and other details on how to complete a specific report.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience working with benefit programs gained in either a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or at a health insurance company (Canadian company support experience preferred). Alternatively, strong background by experience and education in financial services and economics.
- Well organized and detail oriented. Ability to spot inconsistencies and capture anomalies/errors.
- Strong project management skills and an ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines is a must.
- Ability to follow and improve existing processes by finding efficiencies and better ways of working.
- Flexible with a proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client.
- Client service oriented with an ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter attitude and ability to establish priorities, work independently and with limited supervision.
- Deep analytical, creative, and integrative skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in English required
- Minimum required in-Taguig office presence currently four times a month, and/or during training (may increase as the months go by)
