Changing the finance operations, our mission is to streamline and automate the finance operations stack. We recognized early on that finance teams navigate a tall stack of unstructured paper trail—invoices, contracts, transactions, and more. Fortunately, advancements in technology have significantly enhanced our capacity to process and interpret text data. Many challenges faced by finance teams stem from managing this unstructured data and having to find answers in them.

Our strategy is straightforward: develop a sophisticated, automatic data processing engine designed to underpin a suite of applications tailored to automate and simplify the workload for finance professionals.

The first of many applications we’ve built on this premise is automatic control of payments which is currently automatically checking 1,000,000,000€+ worth of payments annually and expected to control over 3 billion this year.

About this role:

• We need to build the first version of everything, with little to no legacy.
• Ownership of maintaining high quality in our code base. You build it, ship it and maintain it.
• You'll establish quality engineering processes, guidelines and methods for a better developer experience.
• Large data processing volumes - looking for people who have "been there, done that" and know which pitfalls to avoid.
• You'll be advancing the forefront of computation by getting computers capable of solving complex scenarios like automatic code generation, automatic understanding of file contents, and automation within browsers. Reducing mind-numbing work for us humans.
• Work with people who built the Automation team at Veriff.

About you:

• You have built an ML product based on a vision and successfully launched it into production. 
• You have worked with neural networks and backpropagation algorithms.
• You have a hacker mindset and feel comfortable running calculations with precision-recall and f1 score.
• Ideally, you'd have a combination of data scientist and software engineer skills.
• Much like navigating financial datasets, you thrive in complexity, eagerly embracing new technologies and frameworks to solve challenges creatively.
• Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts into actionable strategies.
