Research Fellow (Computer Science/Electrical & Computer Engineering)

The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Research and develop a methodology/framework for 2D/3D object detection.

• Research and develop a methodology/framework for 2D/3D semantic segmentation.

• Report its research findings in a form of a report and/or present its research findings in international peer-reviewed conferences/journals.

• Involve in the mentoring of PhD/Masters/FYP students

Job Requirements: 

• Possess a PhD degree in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering

• Experience in point cloud analytics and machine learning

• Deep understanding and rich hand-on experience in deep networks

• Good communication skills in English

• Background knowledge in computer vision and/or point cloud processing.

• Prior research experience in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision.

• Mastering of a programming language would be valued (e.g. Python, Matlab…)

• Self-driven, highly motivated, with interest to work with other researchers and scientists (team player) to produce high-quality research.
