Job Title: Engineer in Training (EIT)Location: Richmond, VAPosition Type: Full-timeJob Summary: As an Engineer in Training (EIT) you will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers to support various engineering initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in exposure to state-of-the-art technologies, and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design and development of engineering projects under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to contribute to project design and optimization.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data and assess project conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals.
• Support project managers in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in meetings and presentations with clients and stakeholders as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software/tools relevant to the discipline (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MATLAB).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the engineering field.
